LAMB Theatre Suspends Remaining 40th Season Productions Due to Covid-19
"It is with regret and in an effort to protect our audience, patrons, actors and volunteers that we have made the decision to suspend the last two productions of the 40th Season: OUTSIDE MULLINGAR (May 2020) & DISASTER, THE MUSICAL (June 2020). Our 41st Season will open in September as scheduled." -- Managing Artistic Director Russel Wooley
LAMB Arts Regional Theatre is a 501(c) 3 non-profit professional non-equity theatre, dedicated to enriching the arts in Siouxland through performance and education. The theatre is currently undertaking a capital campaign to raise funds for the renovation of the old KCAU-TV building at 625 Douglas, built in 1909 as the original Sioux City Auditorium.
The 625 Douglas Project is still ongoing, but may be slowed by a couple of months, due to the current COVID-19 situation. We are still looking forward to opening in that historic building sometime in 2022. The Gilchrist Matching Grant (our second $250,000 grant from this generous foundation) is only $35,120 away from meeting the match which is over May 20. If you would like to help us reach this important goal, we are accepting donations through our website. Please help us in making this new location at 625 Douglas Street happen. We cannot do this alone. Everything donated is doubled through the Gilchrist Matching Grant and every penny counts!
Although this is not how anyone would have foreseen our 40th Season ending, we know this can only bring us closer together when this is all over. We are going to miss you over these next few months, but be on the lookout for announcements regarding our 41st Season and other forms of entertainment this spring and summer!
“The theatre can do things that you can’t legislate, or preach, or make laws about. The theatre can do this thing of getting in, into your heart.” ~George Hearn, Words and Music by Jerry Herman
